A message calling on President Biden to intervene to fix the bad situation of the Turkish system

A letter sent by Senator Marco Rubio, Senator Ron Wyden, Senator John Thon, Senator Charles Schumer, Senator Richard Durban and Senator Roger Wicker to US President Joe Biden asking him to stop the repression of the regime of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan

The letter refers to the bad human rights situation in Turkey and calls on the US President to pressure the Turkish government to improve their "bad" history in dealing with internal and external issues

The letter also mentioned that President Erdogan has dragged the country to a "dictatorial" path, tightened the screws on the opposition, silenced large media platforms, sacked judges and replaced them with his loyalists from his party, and has imprisoned many journalists and media professionals, and Turkey ranks second after China in the number of media detainees

Erdogan's policy in recent years has become aggressive, as he has attacked the Kurdish forces supported by the United States in Syria, purchased the Russian air defense system, and encouraged Azerbaijan to violence with Armenia

Erdogan has also tried to pressure the United States to hand over some Turkish citizens, and Erdogan's government has also tried to silence his opponents in the United States, such as basketball player Anis Kenter, who attacked his family and put his name on the Interpol list
